Polayya and his 7 year old sister (Koteswari) were forced to beg for money by their alcoholic parents. When they didn’t bring home enough money, their father threw a rock at them hitting Koteswari in the back of the head. They fled their home town via train and landed in Tenali. Since then, they’ve been living with their new ‘family’ of fellow abandoned and orphaned children along the railway.
