Originally from Guduru, Lakshmi has had many husbands, and the last one held her left hand down on the train tracks in a moment of jealousy (missing fingers are the result). Her current husband is Baachir. In the last year, she lost a baby at birth and began cutting herself in an effort to take away the pain. The scars on both her arms are shocking. Lakshmi and her current husband now live at the Tenali railway station.
